Death toll in Zahedan terror attack rises to 6; three attackers killed
Six people, including a woman and a child, were killed and 22 others were injured in a terrorist attack on the courthouse in Zahedan, Iran. The attack, which was attributed to the Jaish al-Zalm group, ended with the security forces responding and killing three armed attackers.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to Iranian media reports, the number of martyrs has reached 6 and the number of injured has reached 22 following a terrorist attack on the courthouse in Zahedan province. Among the martyrs, a woman and a child are also seen, and the condition of a number of the injured is reported to be serious.

This morning, Saturday (25 July), a number of armed terrorists attacked the courthouse in Sistan and Baluchestan province, located on Azadi Street in Zahedan.

The attackers, who were disguised as clients and intended to enter the courthouse, opened fire after clashing with security forces.

The IRGC Quds Force Public Relations Office announced that 6 people were martyred and 22 were injured in the attack, adding that most of the victims were civilians, including a woman and a baby. The condition of some of the injured was reported to be critical.

Brigadier General Alireza Daliri, deputy police chief of Sistan and Baluchestan, told reporters: At 8:30 AM, a terrorist team affiliated with the Zionist regime, disguised as visitors, attempted to enter the courthouse when they were confronted by security forces. One of the attackers was killed on the spot, and a grenade he threw into the building killed a number of visitors, including a mother and a one-year-old baby.

In the ensuing clash and pursuit of the attackers, two other members of the team were also killed, thus destroying the entire terrorist team.

The Jaish al-Zalm group claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack, describing it as an act of “revenge.”

The attack came at a time when Sistan and Baluchestan province has already witnessed the activities of armed and terrorist groups.

Initial images and reports indicate the severity of the violence and the civilian casualties in the incident.

Local and international sources are following up on the extent of the incident and the subsequent reactions of the security forces.

Experts say that the attack was carried out with the aim of creating fear and insecurity in one of the most sensitive border areas of Iran. The killing of civilians, especially women and children, shows the inhuman and ruthless nature of the terrorist groups, who have targeted not only the security of the region but also the psychological peace of the people.
