The Breshna Directorate has announced that the project to extend and transfer 37.5 kilometers of power line from Kajaki district to Musa Qala in Helmand province at a cost of 113 million Afghanis has been launched during a ceremony.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Breshna Directorate Press Office said in a press release that at the ceremony, Hafiz Hedayatullah Mohammad, Head of Electricity of Helmand province, said that this project will be implemented under the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Emirate at a cost of 113 million Afghanis from the Breshna Directorate budget.

He added that the project includes transferring a 37.5-kilometer power line, installing 745 power poles and 34 types of equipment, which upon completion will provide balanced 24-hour electricity from the Kajaki Dam to the people.

The Kajaki Power Plant has been one of the important sources of electricity for Helmand and Kandahar provinces for the past few years, and efforts are ongoing to increase its distribution capacity.

It is worth noting that the lack of electricity in the country is one of the permanent problems of citizens, and electricity imported from neighboring countries cannot meet the needs of the people.
