Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Sports Service: The competition will be held in a round-robin format between the three teams; each team will play the other two teams twice. Ultimately, the top two teams in the standings will advance to the final match, which is scheduled to be held on September 7.
The competition will be held on the eve of the 2025 Asia Cup, which will begin on September 9 in the UAE. Cricket Board officials have emphasized that this tri-series tournament will be a great opportunity for the teams to prepare before this important Asian event.
Mirwais Ashraf, Chairman of the Afghanistan Cricket Board, told Ariana News: “We are very pleased to be participating in this tri-nation tournament with a high level of competition. We sincerely thank the Emirates Cricket Board for their valuable initiative in organizing this series of tournaments. Sharjah Stadium holds a special place in the heart of Afghan cricket and we are sure that these matches will be an important experience for all the participating teams.”
According to the official announcement, the first match of the tournament will begin with a crucial match between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
