Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): the press office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, announced today (Saturday, August 2) in a press release that Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, met with Mirwais Azizi, a national businessman and investor of the country, in his office and discussed economic issues.
According to this press release, at the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs welcomed Mirwais Azizi, General Director of Azizi Group, and his technical team, and welcomed the $10 billion investment by Azizi Energy Company to produce 10,000 megawatts of electricity in the country.
He assured Azizi of the Islamic Emirate’s full support for this project, adding that currently, a suitable environment has been provided for investment in the country, and based on the decree of the Leader of the Islamic Emirate, the necessary facilities have been provided for investors and businessmen, and priority has been given to domestic production.
In addition, Mirwais Azizi, General Director of Azizi Energy Company, stated that after decades of war and insecurity, a good opportunity has now been provided for the reconstruction of the country. He added that he has taken advantage of this opportunity and started investing in the production of ten thousand megawatts of electricity in the country, which will grow the country’s industry and agriculture, and will also provide many job opportunities for the country’s citizens.
Azizi thanked the officials of the Islamic Emirate for their extensive cooperation and emphasized that he will hold regular meetings with officials of the relevant ministries in order to effectively implement these investments and projects.
At the end of the meeting, Mirwais Azizi also stated that he is ready to soon begin construction of a fully equipped hospital in Kabul that meets all the necessary standards for the treatment of cancer.
