Pakistan's firm support for Iran against the Zionist regime; signing of 12 cooperation documents between the two countries

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Pakistani Prime Minister also praised Iran's efforts in supporting the oppressed people of Gaza and called on the international community to strive for a ceasefire and peace in the region. Sharif continued, referring to the signing of several memorandums of understanding between the two countries, and expressed hope that these agreements would be implemented and increase the volume of trade relations between the two countries to $10 billion. He emphasized the common goals of Iran and Pakistan in combating terrorism and said that the security of the two countries is intertwined. Finally, he called for resolving the problems of the people of Kashmir and the independence of this region.

 

On the other hand, Iranian President Masoud Pazeshkian, referring to the deep cultural, linguistic and religious commonalities between Iran and Pakistan, emphasized the importance of self-confidence and reliance on domestic capabilities. Citing the poems of Iqbal Lahori, he considered the unity and cohesion of Muslims to be the key to progress and stated that Iran and Pakistan can achieve a superior position by relying on their capacities.

 

Pazeshkian also appreciated the public and government support of Pakistan for Iran during the war with the Israeli regime and considered supporting the oppressed a religious and human duty. He called the crimes committed in Gaza and the silence of human rights organizations a stain on the face of civilization and emphasized the need to stand against oppression and defend rights and justice.

 

In conclusion, the Iranian President assessed the 12 cooperation documents signed between the two high-ranking delegations as constructive and emphasized the serious pursuit of the implementation of these agreements to create economic, scientific, cultural and political prosperity in both countries. He expressed hope that through unity and solidarity, a bright future would be achieved for the nations of Iran and Pakistan, in a way that there would be no need for dependence on the West.

 

The Pakistani Prime Minister also wrote in a tweet on the X social network: “Today in Islamabad, I had a warm and sincere meeting with my brother Dr. Masoud Peshkian, the President of Iran, and we once again emphasized our long-standing neighborly relations that are rooted in civilization, culture, religion and common interests.”

 

He added: “I expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Iran and thanked them for their courage and resistance to Israeli aggression. I also thanked the Iranian President once again for his country’s support for Pakistan during the recent conflict in South Asia.”

 

Referring to the atrocities being committed against the Palestinians, Shahbaz Sharif noted: “We also reiterated our firm stand on the rights of the innocent Palestinian people who are facing unprecedented violence and hardship.”

 

Referring further to his conversation with President Pazeshkian, he said: “During our talks, we agreed to deepen Pakistan-Iran cooperation in trade, communication and people-to-people exchanges and to work closely to increase our bilateral trade to $10 billion.”

 

The Pakistani Prime Minister emphasized: “Today’s exchange of important MoUs and agreements is an important step in building a bright future for our people.”

 

It is worth noting that Iranian President Masoud Pazeshkian left for Islamabad yesterday at the head of a high-level delegation on a two-day visit.
