Iran's Supreme National Security Council: Establishment of the National Defense Council approved
The Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that it has approved the establishment of the "National Defense Council" in line with the implementation of Article 176 of the country's constitution. It was said that this council will be responsible for the centralized review of defense plans and improving the capabilities of the Iranian armed forces.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: The Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran announced that the presidency of this council will be the responsibility of the President and its members will include the heads of forces, commanders of the armed forces and relevant ministers.
It was said that the purpose of forming this council is to coordinate and focus more on defense issues and strengthen the country's military capabilities.
The Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council added: The Defense Council will review defense plans and improve the capabilities of the armed forces in a centralized manner.
