IAEA delegation to visit Tehran for political talks
Media reports indicate that a delegation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is scheduled to visit Tehran next week to meet with Iranian officials.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: It is said that the purpose of this visit is to discuss the implementation of a law recently passed by the Iranian Parliament, which will suspend cooperation with the organization.

Citing ISNA, sources said that the upcoming talks will focus solely on political issues and that no inspections of Iran’s nuclear facilities are on the agenda of this delegation. For this reason, the organization’s inspectors will not be present in the group.

This decision was made following the approval of a law by the Iranian Parliament in late June. This law has suspended official cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency in response to the US and Israeli attacks on the Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow nuclear facilities.

Iran previously announced that it would not resume full cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency until it receives security guarantees for its nuclear facilities and the organization condemns the attacks on these facilities.
