200 German celebrities appeal to chancellor to support Gaza
More than 200 German celebrities have written a letter to the German Chancellor, citing the great suffering of the people of Gaza under the crimes of the Zionist regime, calling for Berlin to end its support for the regime.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Citing the Berliner Zeitung newspaper, more than 200 German celebrities have written a letter to German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz asking him not to let Gaza suffocate and die under the crimes of the Zionist regime.

The letter contains a complete appeal from the Chancellor, along with a complete list of its signatories.

The letter reads: Dear Mr. Mertz, Children who are emaciated to the bone, with sunken eyes, with emaciated wrists, babies who are so weak from hunger that they cannot cry. Old, weak and sick people who do not receive adequate care. These die every day in Gaza. But these mothers, fathers and children are human beings, just like our children and yours.

Another part of the letter to Meretz reads: “You have taken a stand in recent days and criticized the Zionist regime. We are grateful for this, but one thing is clear: words alone do not save lives.”

The letter reads: “Therefore, today we write to you with an urgent appeal to follow up your words with action now: immediately stop all German arms exports to Israel. Support the suspension of the EU-Israel cooperation agreement and strongly call for an immediate ceasefire and unhindered access for humanitarian aid.”

The signatories to the letter stated: “These steps are deeply in line with European values and make it clear to Israel that even its closest allies can no longer tolerate this suffering.”

The letter states: “Continuing full support for the Zionist regime while Gaza is in famine and reception camps for hundreds of thousands of people are being planned has absolutely nothing to do with the policy of the German government. True humanity begins where political calculations end.”

The signatories of the letter addressed the German Chancellor: “Mr. Mertz, you are one of the few who can convince the Zionist regime to change course. Do you have the courage to do so?”
