The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Herat visited Farah Province/Inauguration of the Pomegranate Field in Farah Valley
The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Herat, continuing his visits to Farah Province, left for the province to meet with Ghausuddin Rahbar, the Governor of Farah, and to visit some development projects. In the first program of his visit, he first attended a joint meeting with the Governor of Farah and discussed issues of interest, especially the development of economic cooperation between Farah Province and South Khorasan Province in line with the welfare of the people of Farah Province.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Herat: In this meeting, Alireza Marhamati, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran, pointed out Iran's readiness to provide health services to the people of Farah Province and described the provision of these services as an important step in improving the health of the citizens of this province.
 
Mr. Marhamati also pointed out the need for Muslim unity and preventing division and discord between the two countries, and described this as an important factor in advancing economic cooperation between the two sides.
He also stated: The Islamic Republic of Iran has been hosting Afghan brothers and sisters for about 50 years and has always emphasized respecting the rights of Afghan citizens.
Stating that the return of refugees in recent months has been limited to illegal immigrants, Marhamati emphasized: The way for Afghan citizens to enter legally is not closed.
In this meeting, the Governor of Farah, while appreciating the successive trips and visits of the Iranian Consul General to this province and pursuing joint development issues, emphasized his readiness to increase economic relations and cooperation with Iran and the province/province of Khorasan Razavi with the aim of increasing the level of services and promoting the level of trade between them.
He assessed that pursuing existing issues and problems, especially in the commercial sector, is useful in improving the living standards of the people of Farah.
 
Continuing his programs in Farah, Mr. Marhamati, along with the Governor of Farah, went to the project implementation site to visit the 78th Mile Road to the center of Farah, and they closely monitored the completion and asphalting of various parts of the project.
 
During this visit, he emphasized the importance of completing the 78th Mile Road to the center of Farah as soon as possible and said: "Given the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran officials to complete this road as quickly as possible and the financial arrangements made for the project, we hope that it will be completed in the near future and made available to the noble people of Farah."
 
In the last part of his program, Mr. Marhamati attended the opening ceremony of Anare Dara Square, which was held with the presence of a group of Farah provincial officials.
 
It is worth noting that Mr. Salim, the head of the Foreign Relations Office in Herat, also accompanied Mr. Marhamati on this trip.
