Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Russian state media reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Donald Trump's special envoy for Ukraine, Steve Witkoff, in the Kremlin today (Wednesday, 6th of August).
The meeting took place on the eve of the deadline set by Washington to end the war in Ukraine.
According to the official TASS news agency, the Kremlin announced in a statement that did not release many details, "Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed US special envoy Steve Witkoff to the Kremlin."
Further details about the content of the meeting or its possible results have not yet been released.
Reuters previously reported, citing sources close to the Kremlin, that Putin has no intention of heeding Trump's ultimatum for a ceasefire in Ukraine.
