Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Mullah Hedayatullah Badri met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Vladimirovich Kurobchenko, the press office of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said in a statement.
The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said the two sides discussed strengthening economic relations and joint investment between Afghanistan and Tatarstan.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan said that his country is committed to joint cooperation and investment in Afghanistan's mineral resources and is interested in investing in oil, zinc, iron and gold mines in the country.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Mines and Petroleum said that Tatarstan can invest in the field of mineral resources surveying, oil and gas extraction and construction of processing plants in Afghanistan and the Islamic Emirate will provide necessary facilities.
It is worth mentioning that recently various countries have expressed their interest in investing in the country's mines.
