Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: At the opening ceremony of the factory, Shukrullah Yazdanpanah, the investor and head of the project, said that this production unit, which is located on an area of 6 acres of land and has five floors, was built in 14 months and is equipped with modern facilities.
According to him, the main goal of launching this factory is to reduce unemployment, poverty and create job opportunities for youth. He added that so far 100 people have been officially employed in the factory and hundreds of other informal job opportunities have been provided.
Yazdanpanah noted that all the equipment and machinery of the factory were purchased from Türkiye and installed in accordance with global standards.
At the ceremony, Abdul Rahman Ahmadi, head of the Ghazni Chamber of Commerce and Industries, announced that this is the seventh flour production factory in the province. He added that after the Islamic Emirate regained sovereignty and ensured nationwide security, more than 100 heavy and light industry manufacturing companies have been established in Ghazni and two industrial parks will soon be opened.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Afghanistan needs more than five million tons of flour annually, a large part of which is supplied through imports. The increase in flour production factories in different provinces can reduce the country's dependence on imports and play an important role in food security.
According to observers, investment in the food industry sector, especially flour production, while creating sustainable employment, can activate the domestic economic cycle and reduce the outflow of foreign exchange from the country. Studies show that government support for investors and facilitating the process of establishing production units will play a key role in the industrial development of the provinces.
