Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: An Israeli army spokesman announced that two rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli settlements near the Gaza border today (Sunday). These rockets were launched towards the settlements of Nahal Oz and Kfar Saad in the area known as the "Gaza Strip".
The Israeli army said that defense systems have been activated to intercept these rockets, but the final outcome of these interceptions is still being investigated.
In contrast, Palestinian news sources have reported that the rockets successfully hit their intended targets and that the Israeli defense systems were unable to intercept them.
The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, issued a statement announcing that the attack was carried out in response to recent actions by the Israeli regime and targeted Israeli settlements.
