Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Yaqubi, one of the leading authorities in Iraq, emphasized in a speech on the occasion of the Arbaeen pilgrimage that moving towards Imam Hussein (AS) and visiting him is not only the path to heaven, but heaven itself.
He added: One of the manifestations of divine mercy is that He gives some of the heavenly blessings to the believing servants in this world so that they become intoxicated and find greater desire to achieve it. One of these blessings is the guardianship of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), love for them, visiting the holy sites, and venerating the rituals of Hussain, which are considered among the greatest gifts of God to the lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.).
Referring to narrations, Ayatollah Yaqubi said: No blessing after knowing God is equal to the blessing of closeness and intimacy with the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), and this intimacy makes the people of Paradise free from paying attention to other blessings. He added, citing a narration: On the Day of Judgment, Imam Hussain (a.s.) will sit in the shade of the Throne, and God will gather his pilgrims and Shiites to experience indescribable dignity and joy.
This authority clarified: The lovers of Aba Abdullah (a.s.) enjoy the Arbaeen walk, despite the great hardships, and after the end of the ceremony, they feel regret and sadness in their hearts. According to him, this great blessing also places certain responsibilities on the shoulders of the believers; Including adherence to pure Muhammadan Islam, calling to God, promoting the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), and preventing the transformation of Husseini rituals into purely popular ceremonies unrelated to the goals of the Ashura uprising.
He also emphasized the need for unity around religious authorities and defending the position of authority, considering it a safe haven for the nation against sedition and crises.
This year's Arbaeen walk will be held with the presence of millions of pilgrims from inside and outside Iraq, a significant portion of whom will walk long distances, sometimes more than 100 kilometers.
