Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The Ghor Provincial Department of Industry and Commerce announced that a three-day exhibition of local products has opened in cooperation with a private company in the Aibak center. The exhibition hosted visitors by providing 20 booths to display goods produced by women and men and provided a place to sell and introduce local products.

The press office of the department wrote in a press release that Maulvi Mohammad Sadiq Rasas, the representative of the provincial authority at the opening ceremony, spoke about the significant growth of the production sector after the Islamic Emirate came to power. He added that suitable grounds have been provided for quick-profit activities and investment, and efforts are continuing to strengthen the capacity of domestic production and the preference for exports over imports.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abdul Sattar Mowaffaq, the head of Ghor’s Department of Industry and Commerce, while emphasizing the importance of domestic products, encouraged traders and investors to establish manufacturing plants and called on the public to support local products more. He considered domestic products to be the backbone of the country, emphasized the importance of promoting their consumption in order to strengthen the domestic economy, and considered the aim of the exhibition to encourage farmers and investors, develop a culture of supporting domestic products, and introduce local capacities.

Earlier, a three-day exhibition was held in Aibak city, Samangan province, which had 100 booths and displayed agricultural products, handicrafts, food, and local products. Its stated goal was to strengthen domestic products and economic self-sufficiency.

According to economic observers, these types of exhibitions are an effective tool for strengthening the local economy and increasing public awareness about domestic products. Studies show that introducing domestic products through such events facilitates the prosperity of the domestic market and can pave the way for the development of exports and job creation. According to experts, the continuation of these exhibitions, with the participation of the private sector and government support, will pave the way for economic mobility and self-reliance in underserved areas.
