Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): A British documentary maker who recently traveled to Iraq to produce a documentary film of the Arbaeen procession of Imam Hussein, expressed his observations and said: The Arbaeen procession is the largest religious gathering in the world, which brings together millions of pilgrims from different parts of the world every year, but unfortunately this grandeur is not reflected in the Western media.
Emphasizing that Arbaeen is not just a religious event, but a symbol of love, unity, and resistance among nations, he added: “More than 25 million people from different countries and religions make their way to Karbala on foot, but its coverage in the mainstream media is almost zero. This shows that the truth of this great movement is being deliberately hidden.”
Referring to the hospitality of the Iraqi people and the unstinting services of the procession leaders, the British documentary maker noted: “Along the way, pilgrims are welcomed without any expectations. This culture of sacrifice and love is the main message of Arbaeen that must reach the ears of the world.”
In conclusion, he expressed his hope that by producing this documentary, part of the reality of Arbaeen and its message will be conveyed to the world and that future generations will also become familiar with this historical and spiritual movement.
