11 Terrorists Arrested in Extensive Operation by Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Forces
The Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Organization announced today (Tuesday, August 12) the arrest of 11 terrorists and the implementation of a series of extensive operations in different regions of the country, coinciding with the beginning of the uprising of millions of Arbaeen pilgrims.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The organization's statement said that during this operation, five terrorists were arrested in Nineveh, four terrorists in Kirkuk and one terrorist in Sulaymaniyah in cooperation with the Internal Security Organization of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Another terrorist was also arrested in Salahuddin province.

According to the statement, the Counter-Terrorism Forces in Nineveh destroyed seven shelters containing explosives. In Salahuddin province, 13 shelters were also inspected and three tunnels were destroyed, and various equipment was discovered and confiscated.

In Kirkuk, six shelters and three tunnels were inspected and cleared, and in Diyala province, a terrorist shelter was destroyed.

The Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service emphasized that the operation was carried out based on a judicial order and in support of the efforts of the security services. In addition, careful intelligence monitoring has enabled preemptive strikes to destroy the remnants of terrorism.
