Bayern Munich defeats Grasshoppers 2-1
In the last friendly match before the German Super Cup, Bayern Munich, with a young and energetic lineup, managed to defeat their Swiss opponent 2-1 at Grasshoppers Zurich Stadium.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Last night (Tuesday, August 12), Bayern Munich played against Grasshoppers Zurich in a friendly match of the pre-season games at 21:30 Kabul time, at Grasshoppers Zurich Stadium and won 2-1.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany's players, using young players and products of the team's academy, started the game in high spirits. In the 21st minute, Lennart Karl opened the Grasshoppers' goal with a long-range left-foot shot. Just five minutes later, Jonah Kosi Asare scored the second goal for the Bavarians with a beautiful pass from Karl.

In the second half, the Grasshoppers put in a better performance, coming up just short of a goal in the 51st minute. In the final minutes, despite intense pressure from the home team and an attempt to equalize, Jonas Orbig made a crucial save to prevent an equalizer and secure Bayern Munich's victory.

Bayern's first-team players came on from the 62nd minute, but they were unable to change the outcome. Luis Diaz also missed a one-on-one goal in the 87th minute, leaving them without a goal in three pre-season friendlies.

Bayern Munich will face Stuttgart in the Franz Beckenbauer Super Cup at the Allianz Arena in four days' time. After that, the team will play a ceremonial match against the Red Eagles fans' club in Austria and will play their first Bundesliga game of the season against Leipzig on Friday, September 21.
