Boxing selection competitions begin in Kabul with the participation of 532 athletes from 105 clubs
The General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports has announced that the boxing selection competitions have begun in Kabul and 532 athletes from 105 clubs are competing for a place in the national team.
The press office of the General Directorate of Olympics, Physical Education and Sports has announced that the boxing selection competitions in Kabul have officially begun.
 
According to the National Boxing Federation, these selection competitions will be held at the Federation’s sports gymnasium with the participation of 532 athletes from 105 clubs in Kabul province.
 
Athletes will compete in adult age groups and in different weight categories from 48 to 92 kilograms, and in the end, 26 of the best will be selected to join the Kabul province’s adult boxing team.
 
These competitions are an important step in identifying the country’s boxing talents and strengthening the national team.
 
According to local reports and social media, the tournament not only helps select athletes for the national team, but also provides an opportunity for young and talented athletes to participate in the federation's training and coaching programs. In addition, support programs for the training of boxing coaches and referees are being implemented alongside the competition to increase the quality of the matches.
