Herat Information and Culture Director: August 15 is the Day of Afghanistan’s Liberation from Foreign Occupation
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_ Herat: Muttaqi said that in the past two decades, the people of Afghanistan faced extensive challenges, including systematic corruption in the previous government and the spread of drugs. He added:
“August 15 is the day that the people of Afghanistan were freed from occupation and corruption through the efforts of the Mujahideen and the efforts of citizens.”
Referring to the efforts of the Islamic Emirate after coming to power, he stated that extensive measures have been taken to unite the different tribes and groups of the country under a single umbrella and programs have been implemented to eliminate drugs and combat addiction.
Mottaqi also pointed to the economic and security achievements of the past four years, saying: Important projects such as the railway, the TAPI gas pipeline, the electricity network, the establishment of small and large manufacturing plants, and the improvement of passport services in Herat have been implemented.
Stressing the importance of the people’s cooperation with the Islamic Emirate, he added: “If the people are on the side of the government, Afghanistan can achieve progress and excellence in all fields.”
He noted that the Islamic Emirate is committed to providing services and improving the lives of citizens, and this trend will continue in the future.
The Head of Information and Culture of Herat also emphasized that infrastructure and economic projects are continuing in various sectors of the country, including industry, agriculture, and public services. According to him, these measures are part of the government’s extensive program for development and ensuring national security.
Mottaqi added that special attention has been paid to rebuilding infrastructure and increasing economic capacities, and these efforts are aimed at reducing dependence on imports and strengthening domestic production.
He concluded by saying that the Islamic Emirate, by implementing major projects and development policies, seeks to create a safe and sustainable environment for the people's lives and the country's economic growth.
