Road paving begins in Mazar-e-Sharif to ease city traffic

The Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality has begun the process of paving a 1,140-meter-long busy road from Pista Mazar to Guzar Marmal in order to improve urban infrastructure and traffic.


Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Mazar-e-Sharif: Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Hemmat, Mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif, announced that the process of paving a road from Pista Mazar to Guzar Marmal in the first district of the city has begun. This road, which is considered one of the busiest routes in the city, will be improved at a cost of 29 million Afghanis.
 
He added that the project also includes the construction of embankments, installation of flowerpots, and road markings. The Mazar-e-Sharif Mayor emphasized that with the completion of this project, significant facilities will be created in urban transportation and the condition of urban infrastructure will improve.
 
The road paving project on the route from Pistah Mazar to Marmal Pass in the first district of Mazar-e-Sharif has been launched, with a length of 1,140 meters and a cost of 29 million Afghanis, in order to improve the traffic and infrastructure situation of the city.
 
Also, the road paving and decoration project from Maulana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi International Airport to Shahr-e-Naw Crossroads, with a length of 2.5 kilometers and a width of 14 meters, has been launched at a cost of 64 million Afghanis from the development resources of the Mazar-e-Sharif Municipality. This project aims to improve urban infrastructure and facilitate traffic on busy routes.
 
Overall, these projects reflect continuous efforts to improve the infrastructure and traffic situation of Mazar-e-Sharif and can be effective in facilitating traffic and improving the quality of life of citizens.
