Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Javed Niazi, head of the Pegir News Agency, said in an interview with AVA: The brutal killing of journalists by the Zionist Regime is not only an inhumane act, but also a clear violation of all accepted human rights standards and international conventions.
According to him, journalists, as the eyes and ears of the international community, have a duty to reflect the facts, and any targeting of them is in fact a major attack on freedom of expression and the media.
Mr. Niazi emphasized: With this approach, the Zionist regime is trying to silence the voice of truth and independent narratives from the battlefield and crisis. This action not only threatens journalists, but also directly affects the right of the people of the world to access accurate and transparent information.
As a media activist, he called on the international community, especially institutions supporting press and media freedom, to take a serious stance against these crimes and to take practical and immediate measures to prevent the continuation of the killing of journalists in war zones.
Stating that protecting the lives of journalists is in fact protecting truth and justice, he added: The international community should not remain silent in the face of this blatant violation of human rights.
Killing of journalists in Gaza with the aim of silencing the voices of the oppressed
Meanwhile, in an interview with Ava, media activist Mohammad Rafi Teymouri also called on Islamic countries to unite in support of the people of Gaza and Palestine, especially journalists and reporters, and to untie the knot of existing problems with unity and coordination.
According to Teymouri, as the Zionist regime’s aggression and crimes in Gaza continue, journalists and media activists are being martyred every day. In his opinion, today those who are in fact the voices of the Palestinian people are being killed and martyred in Gaza, and the Zionist regime also wants to completely silence this voice of freedom in this geography.
He added: Journalists are in fact the voices of the oppressed in the world, and the Zionist regime is deliberately killing reporters and attacking this innocent group so that the voices of the oppressed are silenced and its crimes are not exposed.
He called on the international community, especially the United Nations, not to politicize human rights and to take an impartial and humanitarian approach and seriously and practically prevent the aggression and crimes of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza and Palestine.
Teymouri once again called on the Islamic communities to unite and raise a single voice with a specific goal, so that the world, and especially the United Nations, would realize more clearly that oppression is indeed taking place in Gaza and Palestine, that human rights are being violated, and that the most impartial segment of society, namely journalists, is being martyred every day.
He concluded by believing that: If Islamic countries join forces, a global consensus will eventually emerge and the tragedies in Gaza will be prevented; otherwise, the Zionist regime will become more ferocious and savage than before.
