In fact, the three most expensive transfers this La Liga season have been registered by the Galacticos.
The first place in this ranking belongs to Dean Huysen, the Spanish center-back from the English team Bournemouth last season, whose transfer to Real Madrid cost 62.5 million euros. This transfer brought significant profits to Bournemouth, because only a year ago, the player was purchased from Juventus for 15.2 million euros.
Second place in the ranking goes to another new Real Madrid defender, Alvaro Carreras, who was bought from Benfica for €50 million to play in the Spanish capital next season.
The triangle of the most expensive players in La Liga is completed by Argentine Franco Mastantuno, an 18-year-old midfielder who cost Real Madrid €45 million to sign from River Plate in Argentina.
