The necessity of uniting Islamic communities against Zionism; America supports Israeli crimes and journalist murder in Gaza
In the "Awakening and Awareness" discourse of the representative office of the Tebyan Center for Cultural and Social Activities in Balkh province on the topic of "Israel the Murderer, Journalist Assassination and Suppression of Freedom of Expression in Gaza", media and cultural experts emphasized the necessity of uniting Islamic communities against Zionism. They said that the Israeli regime, with the direct support of America, is systematically and intentionally martyring not only journalists but also innocent children, women and men. In their belief, the global silence against Israel's crimes in Gaza has been broken.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Mazar-e-Sharif: Abdul Latif Sahak, head of the Afghan Journalists’ Safety Committee in Balkh province and one of the experts at the meeting, referring to the end of the period of global silence against the killing of journalists and Israeli crimes, said: “Until now, crimes in Gaza faced global indifference and silence, but now human rights organizations and institutions supporting journalists have broken the silence and are taking a stand against the inhumane actions of the Zionist regime.”

He pointed to the symbolic protest of dozens of media outlets around the world that have condemned the killing of journalists in Gaza by blacking out their pages. Sahak called on institutions supporting journalists to seriously pursue the process of seeking justice for the media martyrs of Gaza.

He added: “The big media outlets that are established and managed by global powers and have no independent source of income do not allow the voices of the oppressed residents of Gaza, especially journalists, to be heard. The main reason for the world’s silence or apparent silence is the media affiliated with the great powers.”

Sahak emphasized that journalists expose crimes, famines, bombings of hospitals and public places in wars, and this has caused Israel to panic. For this reason, this regime is purposefully targeting journalists so that the voices of the oppressed people of Gaza do not reach the ears of the world.

He also pointed out the weak performance of Islamic media and said: “The powerful media, social networks and the global economy are in the hands of the West, America and their regional mercenary Israel. In contrast, Islamic societies lack unity and cohesion, and except for the Islamic Republic of Iran and a few limited countries, other countries are under the influence of the West. The way to our salvation lies in unity, acquiring knowledge and cultural excellence.”

Azizullah Wahdat, a journalist for Tamadom TV and a media activist in Balkh Province, also said: “America openly supports Israel’s crimes in Gaza. The regime’s soldiers even ignore the immunity of war journalists and kill them with bombs and bullets.”

He added: “Israeli crimes against journalists in Gaza are being normalized by the US and the West. Even the leaders of Islamic and Western countries are unwilling to pay attention to the lives of innocent children, women and men for the sake of their economic interests.”

He considered the unity of the UN and human rights institutions weak and ineffective, saying: “America uses Israel as its powerful arm in the heart of Islamic countries. Western human rights slogans are just words and there is no practical action. The arrogant powers of the world exploit concepts such as freedom of expression and democracy only for their own interests.”

Sebghatollah Turan, a media activist and another expert at the meeting, stated: “Israel is not only a murderer of journalists, but also a murderer of innocent children, women and men. "Expecting immunity for journalists from such a regime is nothing more than a fantasy, because Israel deliberately targets journalists."

Referring to the approximately 70,000 martyrs and more than 2 million injured and displaced in the Gaza Strip, he said: "Israel has proven that it knows no boundaries in killing and massacre. Human rights have also become a tool for suppressing third world countries and are practically useless."

Turan concluded by saying: "The world is watching the killing of defenseless Gaza residents and journalists by Israel. The silence of Western governments shows the emptiness and discredit of the United Nations and other human rights institutions."
