Chief of Staff: The National Islamic Army’s assistance to the people is a duty of faith, not a show
Qari Mohammad Fasihuddin Fitrat, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, emphasized that the National Islamic Army’s assistance to the people in crises is not a show, but a duty of faith and conscience.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Kabul: Qari Mohammad Fasihuddin Fitrat, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, stated in a speech that the assistance of the National Islamic Army to the people in difficult circumstances is “not a show” but a religious and human responsibility.
 
These statements were made at the closing ceremony of the Holy Quran, which was held to comfort the souls of those who died in the recent earthquake in Kunar, Nangarhar and Laghman provinces. This event was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense in the presence of the Chief of Staff, heads of various departments of the Ministry of National Defense, and a number of officials of this ministry.
 
The Chief of Staff added in his speech: “The National Islamic Army must be by the side of the nation in the most difficult moments and extend a helping hand to the people.”
 
At the ceremony, the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense expressed its sympathy to the families of the victims, prayed for the martyrs to attain paradise, for the injured to recover quickly, and for the survivors to have patience.
 
This statement comes at a time when hundreds of people have died or been injured in the eastern provinces following the recent earthquake. The National Islamic Army is part of the relief operations for the victims of this disaster.
