Hezbollah faction: Lebanese government should reconsider its decision on resistance weapons

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The statement states that the Lebanese government's recent decisions on disarming the resistance are contrary to the National Pact and have created a rift in national unity; a rift that, according to Hezbollah representatives, has overshadowed the country's stability and establishment.

 

Representatives of this faction also emphasized that the government should return to the logic of dialogue and understanding; an approach that Nabih Berri, the Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, has proposed as a way out of the crisis.

 

This stance comes at a time when the Lebanese government, under external pressure, including the United States, has put measures on the agenda in recent weeks to limit Hezbollah's military role; An action that has been met with strong reactions from Shiite parties and resistance groups.
