Uzbekistan sends 300 tons of humanitarian aid to earthquake victims in eastern Afghanistan
A 300-ton shipment of Uzbek humanitarian aid, including flour, grains, and blankets, arrived in Balkh via Hairatan port and was handed over to the authorities of the Islamic Emirate for distribution among earthquake victims in the east of the country.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) – Kabul: This shipment was transported to Balkh province via Hairatan port. Ismatullah Irgashev, Uzbekistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, officially handed over this aid to the authorities of the Islamic Emirate in Balkh.

This shipment includes 300 tons of aid materials, including flour, grains, and blankets, which are to be sent to earthquake victims in the east of the country.

After the recent 6.0-magnitude earthquake in the east, various countries have promised humanitarian aid, and a number of them have also sent their own aid. Yesterday, the second shipment of Iranian aid arrived in Afghanistan and was delivered to local authorities.

According to regional media reports, the Uzbek government had previously sent aid shipments to Afghanistan in previous years during natural disasters. In addition to Uzbekistan, Qatar, Iran, China, and Turkey have also sent emergency aid packages to the east of the country. International organizations such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Red Cross have also sent teams and facilities to support the affected people.

According to experts, the sending of emergency aid by Uzbekistan and other countries in the region demonstrates the importance of Afghanistan's humanitarian and political stability for its neighbors. Studies show that in times of crisis, humanitarian cooperation can also be a good way to expand economic and political relations. Observers say that if this aid is distributed transparently and fairly, people's trust in the crisis management process will increase.
