Ukrainian journalist Boyko has announced that the Ukrainian army has faced a massive wave of desertion this year, with 142,000 soldiers having deserted so far; a statistic that has raised concerns about the collapse of the country's military structure.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to Boyko, the Ukrainian army is facing at least 10,000 deaths per month, while only 20-30,000 new soldiers are being recruited; a situation that he said is "close to collapse."
He added that given the current method of mobilizing forces, this rate of desertion seems "natural" and indicates severe psychological and operational pressure on the military forces.
It is worth noting that in recent months, Russia has made significant advances on Ukrainian soil.
