The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock says that the Director General of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has assured the Deputy Minister of Agriculture in Istanbul of the comprehensive readiness of his relevant agency to expand joint cooperation in the agricultural sector with Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock said today (Monday, September 8) in a press release that the delegation of the ministry, headed by Deputy Minister Mawlavi Prime Minister Osmani, met and discussed with Abdullah Iren, Director General of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), during its official visit to Turkey.
 
Mawlavi Prime Minister Osmani said in the meeting: Afghanistan has great potential in the agricultural and livestock sector, and the proper use of these potentials can play an important role in food self-sufficiency and economic growth of the country.
 
He added that the Ministry of Agriculture is ready to implement practical and sustainable projects in various agricultural and livestock sectors using Türkiye's experiences and cooperation.
 
In this meeting, Abdullah Iren, Director General of TIKA, while welcoming the Afghan delegation, expressed his sympathy for the earthquake victims of Nangarhar, Kunar and Laghman provinces and prayed for them.
 
He also assured of the comprehensive readiness of his relevant department to expand joint cooperation in the agricultural sector with Afghanistan.
 
In the end, Maulvi Zamir Osmani appreciated the support and cooperation of TIKA and emphasized the importance of continuing this cooperation to strengthen the agricultural sector of Afghanistan.
 
It is worth noting that the Deputy Minister of Agriculture recently visited Turkey at the official invitation and with the aim of expanding agricultural and livestock cooperation.
