Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: Dr. Shahriari, congratulating the birth anniversaries of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS), while welcoming domestic and foreign guests, announced that this year's conference has begun with the theme of "The Prophet of Mercy and the Unity of the Ummah" and with a special focus on the Palestinian issue. He added: The fundamental goal of recent conferences has been to realize a single Quranic nation and create a basis for the formation of a union of Islamic countries with blurred borders, a single currency, and a common parliament to approve consensus laws.
Stating that the theory of "Islamic unity" is based on the principle of unity in common and tolerance for differences, the Secretary-General of the World Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Denominations emphasized: This theory gains meaning with concepts such as divine guardianship, brotherhood of faith, and reform of the essence, and today it has become a practical and consensus necessity in the Islamic world. He considered the expansion of the discourse of unity in centers such as "Al-Azhar" in Egypt, "The Islamic World Association" in Saudi Arabia, and "The Religious Organization" in Turkey to be a sign of the victory of this approach and the defeat of the discourse of takfir.
He introduced Palestine as the world's "compass of right and wrong" and said: "The Zionists have whitewashed the faces of the tyrants of history with unprecedented crimes ranging from genocide to the bombing of homes, schools, and hospitals." However, these tragedies have awakened nations and strengthened human unity beyond Islamic unity.
Dr. Shahriari referred to the recent 12-day war between the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran, and while recalling the martyrdom of more than a thousand innocent citizens and the assassination of Iranian scientists, he emphasized: This was the price that the Islamic Republic of Iran paid in the defense of its nation and the Palestinian people. At the same time, he mentioned the collapse of the Zionist regime’s Iron Dome, the $40 billion in damages, the suspension of flights, reverse migration, and the failure of the normalization project as clear signs of Israel’s decline.
Criticizing America’s unilateralism and its unconditional support for the Zionist regime, he said: The United States has not only lost its credibility in the world with these policies, but even Western citizens have protested against this process. He added: "In contrast, countries such as China, Russia, India and Iran have risen to confront this trend with multilateral agreements and are seeking to establish a new world order based on human dignity, justice and sustainable security." The Secretary General of the World Forum for the Proximity of Islamic Religions concluded by emphasizing: Resisting tyrants and moving towards Islamic and global convergence is the way to realize the dignity of the Islamic Ummah and restore justice and global security."
