Claims of assassination of Hamas leaders in the Israeli regime's attack on Doha and Qatar's strong reaction/Difference between Al-Arabiya's narrative and Qatari media's account of the attack on Hamas leaders

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Al-Arabiya claims that Khalil Al-Hayya, Zaher Jabareen, Khaled Mashaal and Nizar Awadallah were martyred during the Israeli regime's attack on Qatar.

 

Following the Israeli regime's airstrike on the capital of Qatar, Hebrew-speaking sources claimed that the aim of the operation was to assassinate senior leaders of the Hamas movement. The attack took place while the Hamas negotiating team was reviewing the ceasefire proposal presented by US President Donald Trump.

 

The Israeli army and the Shin Bet security service issued a joint statement claiming responsibility for the attack, describing it as a “precise attack” against the Hamas leadership.

 

Israeli media claimed that Khalil al-Hayyah, Zaher Jabarin and Khaled Meshaal were among the targets of the operation, and that contact with them was cut off after the attack.

 

News channels including Al-Mayadeen and Al-Arabi reported that the Hamas negotiating team survived the attack, but the condition of some members was still unknown.

 

Hebrew sources also stated that the United States was aware of the details of the attack before it took place and that the operation was coordinated with Washington. Some reports reported that Trump had given the green light for the attack.

 

In response to the attack, the Qatari Foreign Ministry called it “cowardly, criminal and a clear violation of international law,” stressing that this act posed a serious threat to the security of Qatari citizens and residents. The Qatari government announced that an investigation was underway at the highest level and that it would not tolerate any violation of its sovereignty.
