UN welcomes Iran-IAEA agreement
The UN spokesperson expressed satisfaction with the recent agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, describing it as a positive step towards future cooperation.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, described the agreement as a “positive step forward” in his press conference and said: “We support the agreement between Iran and the Agency on how to resume inspections and hope that this process will be implemented as soon as possible.”

He also emphasized that Iran’s full cooperation with the Agency is essential to achieving a sustainable framework and ensuring the peaceful nature of its nuclear program.

The agreement was announced on Tuesday in Cairo, after the meeting of the Agency’s Director General, Rafael Grossi, with Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi.

The Islamic Republic of Iran had previously suspended cooperation with the Agency in response to the US and Zionist regime attacks on Iran's military and nuclear facilities in June.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas said about the agreement between Iran and the Agency that no access would be given to the Agency's inspectors at this time, except in the Bushehr power plant issue, and added: "The continuation of this document is conditional on no hostile action being taken against Iran, including snapback, and if the trigger mechanism is operational, the implementation of this document will definitely be suspended."
