New Zealanders hold unprecedented march in support of Gaza
Tens of thousands of New Zealanders have taken part in the country's largest demonstration in its history, expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people and calling on the government to impose sanctions on the regime in response to Israel's crimes in Gaza.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: According to local media, Auckland, New Zealand, witnessed a massive demonstration on Saturday (local time) in support of the Palestinian people and condemnation of the Zionist regime's genocidal war against Gaza. The march, called the "Humanity March," was the largest demonstration in New Zealand's history in support of Palestine, according to organizers.

According to Radio New Zealand (RNZ), about 20,000 people participated in the march. The demonstration began at Otjiwarongo Square and ended at Victoria Park.

The participants in the rally called for sanctions against Israel and called on the New Zealand government to take immediate action against the crimes of the Tel Aviv regime. They also stressed the need for an immediate and unconditional halt to the war, an immediate end to the blockade of Gaza to allow humanitarian aid to enter, and the resumption of the activities of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

The demonstrators, holding Palestinian flags, chanted slogans such as “Do not normalize genocide” and “Take a stand and support Palestine.”

“This is the largest march in New Zealand history in support of Palestine,” said Nadine Morteza, a spokesperson for the group “Autiarwa for Palestine” (Autiarwa: the New Zealand indigenous name).
