Start of the executive operation to extract gas from the Toti Maydan field in Faryab

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Mullah Hamdullah Fitrat, Deputy Spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, announced today (Sunday, September 14) that the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs considered the start of this operation an important sign of expanding investment in the country. According to him, investing in large and vital projects like this sends a clear message to the world and domestic and foreign investors that security is established in Afghanistan and that a suitable platform has been provided for any investment.

 

He added that the Islamic Emirate, in accordance with its economy-oriented policy, welcomes and fully supports all potential investors by providing the necessary facilities. This approach is in line with attracting capital and strengthening the country's private sector.

 

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, emphasized that the implementation of this project will create many job opportunities for citizens. In addition, the domestic need for gas will be largely met, the country's dependence on gas and electricity imports will be reduced, and gradually the ground will be prepared for gas exports abroad. He stated that this project will help balance part of the country's trade balance and, overall, will play a significant role in Afghanistan's economic growth.

 

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs once again invited all domestic and foreign investors and businessmen to invest in this country by taking advantage of Afghanistan's comparative advantages.

 

Finally, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund asked the contracting company responsible for the research and extraction of the Toti Maydan gas field to carry out all work in the best possible way, fully complying with quality standards and principles. This emphasis shows the high importance of complying with international standards in the implementation of this national project.
