Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Israeli regime arrested a number of human rights activists this morning by attacking the ships of the Gaza blockade-breaking convoy. Two members of the convoy, Manuela Bedoya and Luna Barto, were arrested by the Israeli army 150 nautical miles from the coast.
According to the Global Movement for Gaza, this action was outside territorial waters and is a clear violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions. However, other ships in the convoy are still heading towards Gaza.
Colombian President's Reaction
In a message on the X social network, Petro described the attack as "a new crime by Benjamin Netanyahu" and ordered the immediate cancellation of the free trade agreement with Tel Aviv.
He also asked the Foreign Ministry to pursue the necessary complaints, including in Israeli courts, and announced the support of international lawyers for Colombia's legal team.
Diplomatic relations between Colombia and Israel were previously severed in May 2024, but the order includes the expulsion of all remaining Israeli representatives.
Spanish Reaction
At the same time, the Spanish government also summoned Tel Aviv's chargé d'affaires in Madrid to express its protest after the Zionist regime attacked an international aid convoy to Gaza.
These developments have once again increased diplomatic tension between Israel and European and Latin American countries and underscored the importance of protecting humanitarian missions in crisis areas.
