Attack on the "Al-Samoud Fleet" is a crime against humanity and its perpetrators must be punished
Human rights activists and experts have described the Zionist regime's action against the aid flotilla to Gaza as a clear violation of international and human rights laws, and say that in some laws, these actions are considered war crimes; therefore, all the abductees must be immediately released and the perpetrators must be punished.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Following the blockade and stoppage of the aid flotilla to Gaza, known as "Al-Samoud" by the Israeli Navy and the arrest of many human rights activists, including Greta Thunberg, a Swedish environmental activist, political activists and human rights activists, they have described this Israeli action as a crime against humanity and say: While the people of the Gaza Strip are dying of hunger every day, the countries of the world continue to watch Israel's barbarities.

However, this action of the Zionist regime has been met with serious international reactions, legal and real figures and heads of state worldwide. A number of countries have expressed serious concern over the stopping of a flotilla of pro-Palestinian activists who were on their way to deliver aid to Gaza. Spain has summoned the senior representative of the Israeli regime in Madrid and the Irish Foreign Minister is holding a meeting with senior officials to review the situation. The British Foreign Office also says that it has clearly told Israeli officials that this situation must be resolved in a safe manner. It is said that citizens of all three countries are on the flotilla bound for Gaza.

Dr. Fadl al-Hadi Wazin, a regional affairs researcher and member of the Muslim Scholars Union, expressed deep regret over the world's silence in the face of the increasing crimes of the Israeli regime in an interview with Ava, saying: "The Al-Samoud flotilla, which consists of hundreds of human rights activists and humanitarian aid to break the oppressive siege of the Zionist regime in Gaza, has been stopped by Israel."

According to Wazin, "This flotilla, which was mainly carrying powdered milk and spices, was attacked in international waters by the usurping Zionist regime, contrary to all international and moral rules, before reaching Gaza, and a large number of human rights activists were also kidnapped and transferred to an unknown location."

According to Wazin, "The Zionist regime's action against the aid flotilla is a clear violation of international and human rights laws, and in some laws is also considered a war crime. Therefore, all freedom-loving people in the world demand the immediate release of the kidnapped and the punishment of the perpetrators of this crime."

He also stated that “breaking the cruel siege and delivering aid to the people of Gaza is a human duty, and we call on all countries in the world and international and human rights institutions to punish Israel for its crimes and violations of international law and to deliver aid to the Palestinian people.”

Meanwhile, the civil human rights movement, under the title “People’s Wave in Solidarity with the People of Palestine – Afghanistan,” issued a statement today, Thursday, October 1, stating that “we condemn in the strongest terms the brutal and illegal attack by the Zionist occupation regime on the “Al-Samoud flotilla,” an attack that led to the kidnapping and hostage-taking of more than 70 members of the flotilla.”

According to this statement, the “Al-Samoud flotilla” is a humanitarian and peaceful mission that set out to break the siege of Gaza and deliver medicine, food, drinking water, medical equipment, and other humanitarian aid to children, women, and the elderly in Gaza. The participants in this flotilla were of various nationalities and religions and had no other purpose than to defend human dignity. “We consider this Israeli action to be a gross violation of international law, maritime conventions and humanitarian law, and a clear example of a war crime.”

The declaration called on the international community to immediately and unconditionally release the hostages, provide immediate access to the detainees by the Red Cross and independent institutions, conduct an independent international investigation into the attack and prosecute those responsible, immediately return and deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged people of Gaza, and exert diplomatic and judicial pressure on the occupying regime to stop the repetition of these crimes.

The declaration added that we call on the free media, human rights institutions and free nations to turn the demand for the hostages’ release into a global demand by rebroadcasting the audio and images and ending the siege of Gaza. “We reaffirm our commitment to justice and humanity, and we declare that this crime will never weaken our resolve to continue our humanitarian efforts and solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people.”

It is worth noting that after the Gaza aid flotilla was stopped and the civil and human rights activists were arrested, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that the detainees had been transferred to this country to begin the process of their deportation. Human rights activists also said that they were in international waters at the time of their arrest and that 30 boats were still on their way to Gaza.

The “Global Resistance Flotilla,” consisting of dozens of boats carrying aid to Gaza, set off from a port in Spain last month to break the Israeli naval blockade and enter the Gaza port.
