Khalil al-Hayya
Khalil al-Hayya, head of the Hamas negotiating team, spoke to the media for the first time after the Israeli airstrike on Qatar.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: Khalil al-Hayya, one of the key leaders of the Hamas movement and head of the movement's negotiating team, appeared in front of the media for the first time after the Israeli army attacked Doha, the capital of Qatar.

This attack on September 8 led to the martyrdom of his son "Hammam al-Hayya", "Jihad Labad", his office manager, and a number of members of his office's work team.

Expressing his feelings about the martyrdom of thousands of Gazans, al-Hayya said: "Today, we live in the shadow of pain, honor and dignity. The pain that comes from the martyrdom of thousands of our children, and God has given us the honor that our children, grandchildren and relatives are among them. We are part of this great family of Gaza."

He pointed to Gaza’s prominent role in the overall struggle of the Islamic nation, adding: “Gaza stands today for the entire nation. We ask God to grant patience to the survivors of our people.”

Al-Hayyah continued that the enormity of the tragedy in Gaza dwarfs his personal grief over the loss of his son and friends. “The grief of separation from my son, my companions, and the young people who were with me is profound,” he said. “But during this time, the scenes of the slaughter of our nation’s children in Gaza have made me forget the grief of my loved ones.”

He continued: “I do not differentiate between my children and any Palestinian child in Gaza who is killed by the occupying regime. But we ask God to open a path for victory, for Jerusalem, and for Gaza, for the nation.”
