Israeli army casualties exceed 1,400
On the eve of the second anniversary of the Gaza war, the Israeli Ministry of Defense released new figures on military deaths; since the beginning of the conflict, more than 1,400 soldiers and security forces have been killed in Gaza, the Lebanese border and the West Bank.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced this morning (Monday, 6 October) in its latest official figures on the casualties of its military and security forces. 1,152 Israeli soldiers were killed on October 7, 2023 alone.

According to the announcement, among those killed that day were 1,035 members of the Israeli army, 100 members of the police force, 9 members of the Internal Security Agency (Shabak) and 8 members of the Prisons Administration.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense noted that of the total 1,152, 1,086 were male soldiers and 66 were female soldiers.

The report also shows that 318 reservists, 283 professional army personnel, and 43 rapid alert teams were involved and killed in the first hours of the attack.

Since the start of the war in October 2023, Israeli military casualties have continued to mount. The Israeli Defense Ministry announced that from October 7, 2024, to October 6, 2025, 262 more soldiers were killed on various fronts - including the Gaza Strip, the Lebanese border, and the West Bank - or in other words, the total number of deaths has reached 1,414.

Israeli military experts say this figure is one of the heaviest losses for the regime's military forces since the October 1973 war.

Analysts believe that the prolonged battle has increased political pressure on the Israeli cabinet and affected the army's operational capacity in the south and north.

However, Palestinian resistance groups have stated in numerous statements that the actual death toll is much higher than the official figures and that Tel Aviv is hiding the real number.
