Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, told reporters this afternoon (Tuesday, October 7) that the countries had reached a consensus on cooperation with Afghanistan at the Moscow Format consultative meeting.
He added that the participants in the meeting were “optimistic” about the Islamic Emirate’s fight against terrorism and drugs in Afghanistan.
Muttaqi once again denied the presence of ISIS and other terrorist groups in Afghanistan and said that there are problems outside Afghanistan.
He called for cooperation between countries in combating terrorism and drugs outside Afghanistan.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate did not mention a specific country, but the Islamic Emirate had previously said that the centers and bases of the ISIS terrorist group have now been transferred to Pakistan.
Amir Khan Muttaqi said that during his four years in power, the Islamic Emirate has not allowed any incident that threatens the security of the countries of the region to occur.
He added that the Moscow Format consultative meeting is a good opportunity for the countries of the region to listen to each other and develop areas of cooperation.
The Foreign Minister of the country said; "We thank Russia for recognizing the Islamic Emirate and inviting us to attend the Moscow Format consultative meeting on Afghanistan as a full member."
On the other hand, Gul Hassan, the Ambassador of the Islamic Emirate in Moscow, stated regarding the claims of US President Donald Trump regarding the Bagram Air Base that the Islamic Emirate's policy regarding the territorial integrity of Afghanistan is transparent and clear, and there is no reason to worry about the Bagram Air Base.
The seventh consultative meeting of the "Moscow Format" was held in Moscow with the participation of representatives of the Islamic Emirate, Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
