Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)-Kabul: At a three-day reform seminar in Kandahar province, which was held with the presence of governors and district governors of 34 provinces of the country, Sheikh Haibatullah Akhundzada, Leader of the Islamic Emirate, delivered an important speech and shared basic recommendations and guidelines with local officials.
In his speech, the Leader of the Islamic Emirate considered the governors and district governors as trusted representatives of the Islamic Emirate and emphasized their heavy responsibility in reforming the society.
He said: “You are representatives of the Islamic Emirate and all the people are under your command. Encourage people to do good and not to hate. Fear God and practice piety. Every leader is like an Imam to his subordinates and his behavior will be influential in society.”
Pointing to the importance of intention in actions, the Leader of the Islamic Emirate added: “If your intention is pure, its good effects will be visible in action. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) introduced Islam to the people of Mecca with pure intentions, and God made great effects on his call.”
Criticizing past jihads that did not achieve the desired results due to incorrect intentions, he said: “Today is the opportunity to serve. Serving the religion and implementing the Sharia is the real jihad.”
The Leader of the Islamic Emirate continued by emphasizing the role of scholars in strengthening the Islamic system and said: “Scholars are among the best servants in the sight of God. Respecting scholars strengthens the Islamic system. Consult with scholars, listen to their words, and act based on their fatwas.”
He also called on officials to “convey the rulings and decrees of the Islamic Emirate to the people, scholars, and Mujahideen” in order to prevent differences and establish unity in society.
The Leader of the Islamic Emirate also emphasized: “Leave work to those who are qualified, treat subordinates with kindness, refrain from accepting gifts, and do not get used to being easy. Avoid backbiting and finding fault, and guide the Mujahideen towards sound education and activities.”
