Afghan wrestling team travels to Egypt to participate in international competitions

A team of 19 athletes from the Afghan National Wrestling Federation has left for Alexandria, Egypt, to participate in the 36th round of the "Mohammad Ibrahim Mustafa" Cup international competitions.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Sports Service: The press office of the National Olympic, Physical Education and Sports Committee of the country has announced that this sports convoy includes 15 athletes and 4 coaches.

The country's athletes are scheduled to compete in two age categories: youth and adults and in different weights with opponents from eleven countries around the world.

This international competition will be held by reputable international wrestling organizations and will begin on October 9, 2025 and will continue until October 18.
