European diplomats summoned to Iran
Following the publication of a joint statement by the foreign ministers of the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council with claims of interference, ambassadors and heads of missions of European countries were summoned by Iran to the country's Foreign Ministry; during this meeting, Iran's strong protests were conveyed to them and Iran's undisputed sovereignty over the three islands was emphasized.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The recent statement by the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union and the baseless claims about the three Iranian islands as well as the Iranian nuclear issue brought ambassadors and heads of missions of European countries to the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar) and the European Union issued a 63-point statement on Monday (October 6) at their 29th joint meeting in Kuwait, three of which were related to Iran. The statement emphasized stopping Iran's missile program and cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Iran's undisputed and permanent sovereignty over the three Iranian islands
In this regard, and following the interventionist claims made in the joint statement of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union, including support for baseless claims about the Iranian islands of Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa, interference in Iran's defense issues, as well as false claims about Iran's nuclear issue, on Tuesday, October 7, the ambassadors and heads of missions of the EU member states were summoned to the ministry by Majid Takht-Ravanchi, the deputy political director of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, and Iran's strong protests were conveyed to them.

Takht Ravanchi, emphasizing Iran's undisputed and permanent sovereignty over the Iranian islands of Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa as an integral part of the territory under Iranian sovereignty, called the European Union's support for a baseless claim by a Gulf Cooperation Council member state regarding these islands a violation of the principle of respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity of states, and strongly condemned the European Union's political and biased stance.

Iran's defense capabilities guarantee regional stability and security
The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister also considered the claims made in this statement about Iran's missile issue as blatant interference in Iranian affairs, and rejected untrue and exaggerated narratives about Iran's missile program, emphasizing: Iran's indigenous defense capabilities, including its missile capabilities, are part of Iran's inherent right to defend itself and guarantee regional stability and security.

In the aforementioned statement, in an interventionist claim, both sides called for a halt to the development of ballistic missiles and drones in Iran.

Be accountable for your destructive performance
In this meeting, Takht-Ravanchi strongly criticized the lack of commitment, inefficiency, and ill will of the three European countries that are members of the JCPOA (Germany, France, and the United Kingdom) in diplomatic processes related to the Iranian nuclear issue, and stated: The European Union, as the coordinator of the JCPOA Joint Commission, along with France, Germany, and the United Kingdom, in addition to failing to fulfill their obligations under the JCPOA, caused disruption and deadlock in diplomacy by abusing the JCPOA dispute resolution mechanism. Therefore, it is better for them to be accountable for their destructive performance instead of repeating stereotypical and absolutely false claims regarding Iran's nuclear program.

On September 6, the three European countries that are members of the JCPOA initiated the process of activating the automatic reimposition mechanism of Security Council sanctions against Iran. After 30 days, despite Russia and China submitting a draft resolution to extend Resolution 2231 and its failure to ratify it, on Sunday morning, Resolutions 1696 (2006), 1737 (2006), 1747 (2007), 1803 (2008), 1835 (2008), and 1929 (2010) were finally reimposed. A process that Iran has declared illegal and unconstitutional.

On Tuesday, September 5, Esmail Baghai, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, while rejecting the interventionist and baseless claims at the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union, warned against destructive interference in Persian Gulf affairs and told the Europeans that they had no authority to comment on Iran's defense capabilities.

According to media reports, in early May, after a joint meeting of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the UK, a statement was issued, again making baseless claims about the three Iranian islands, which provoked a reaction from Baqaie. On May 26, he rejected the baseless claims made in this statement and once again emphasized Iran's undisputed sovereignty over the Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa islands as an inseparable part of Iran's territorial territory.
