Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - International Service: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, issuing an official statement in response to the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, has emphasized its firm support for any international action and initiative that leads to an end to the war, the withdrawal of the occupying forces, the entry of humanitarian aid, the release of Palestinian prisoners, and the realization of the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people.
The statement states: The Islamic Republic of Iran, as a supporter of the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian people on the path to achieving the right to self-determination, has used all its diplomatic capacities, especially at the regional level, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations, over the past two years to exert pressure on the Zionist regime and its supporters to stop the genocide and withdraw the occupiers from Gaza.
In its statement, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, honoring the memory of the great martyrs of the resistance, emphasized the responsibility of the international community to prevent the violation of the covenant and crimes of the occupying regime and called on all parties to be vigilant against the deception and breach of promise of the Zionist regime.
In another part of the statement, it is stated: Stopping the crime and genocide in Gaza will in no way negate the responsibility of governments and competent international institutions to pursue the joint legal, humanitarian and moral duty of the international community to implement justice. This task includes identifying and prosecuting the perpetrators of war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip, with the aim of ending the decades-long impunity of the Zionist regime.
