Kim Unveils North Korea
During a major military parade in Pyongyang attended by the North Korean leader, the country unveiled its "most powerful" intercontinental ballistic missile.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): According to AFP, North Korea unveiled Pyongyang's most powerful intercontinental ballistic missile during a major military parade attended by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and senior Chinese and Russian officials.

The event was held to mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the ruling Workers' Party of North Korea and following the country's open military cooperation with Russia and the dispatch of thousands of troops to Moscow to assist the Russian army in its war against Ukraine.

Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of Russia’s Security Council and a close ally of President Vladimir Putin, was in attendance, along with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Vietnamese Communist Party General Secretary Tu Lam, all seated next to Kim Jong Un.

North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency reported that the parade featured some of the country’s most advanced weapons, including the Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile, which it described as the country’s “most powerful nuclear weapons system.”

Among the weapons on display were long-range strategic cruise missiles, drone launch vehicles, and surface-to-air and surface-to-surface missiles.

In his speech at the parade, Kim said that “the invincible North Korean army has always given our party’s efforts to overcome difficulties a new strength and brought a bright future closer.”

Referring to the presence of this country's forces in Russia in the battle of Moscow against Kiev, he added: "The courageous fighting spirit that was displayed and the victory that was achieved by our revolutionary armed forces on foreign battlefields for international justice demonstrated our ideological and spiritual strength."
