German Interior Minister announces readiness to visit Kabul
The German Interior Minister has announced that he is ready to travel to Kabul to sign an agreement with the Islamic Emirate to deport criminal migrants to Afghanistan if necessary.
"If it is necessary to reach agreements to return dangerous criminals from Germany to Afghanistan, I am ready to go to Kabul myself," German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrint told a local media outlet.

"I will do everything to make this process work with Afghanistan and I will do the same with Syria," he said.

Alexander Dobrint said that the country's talks with the Islamic Emirate have made good progress and an agreement is expected to be signed soon.

He added that the talks would include the regular deportation of criminal migrants on regular flights to Afghanistan.

Two weeks ago, a delegation from the German Interior Ministry arrived in Kabul to discuss with Islamic Emirate officials the deportation of criminal migrants to Afghanistan.

Interior Ministry spokesman Abdul Matin Qane told German media that the talks were held in a friendly atmosphere and were positive.

The country has previously mediated the deportation of migrants to Afghanistan through Qatar, but has now entered into direct negotiations with the Islamic Emirate.
