Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Maulvi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for the Islamic Emirate, said in a statement on Monday that Sheikh Mohammad Qasim Khalid, the former governor of Nimroz province, was appointed as the deputy minister for counternarcotics in the Ministry of Interior, while Haji Mohammad, the king's minister, was appointed as the deputy minister of interior.
Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, former deputy minister of counternarcotics of the Ministry of Interior, has been appointed as the deputy minister of finance and administration of the Ministry of Public Works, the statement said.
Maulvi Mujahid also announced changes in the Ministry of Communications, adding that Hafiz Mohammad Amin Jan Omari, the former governor of Badghis, was appointed as the finance and administration deputy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Mullah Mohammad Hanif Hamza, the former deputy finance and administration minister of the same ministry, was appointed as the governor of Badghis.
Quoting the announcement; “Maulvi Abdul Qayum Rohani, the former governor of Khost, has been appointed as the commander of the 203rd Mansouri Brigade. Maulvi Abdul Manan Mahmood, former chief of staff of the 313th Central Corps, has been appointed as the governor of Nimroz.
The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate said that Qari Mohammad Ismail Rasikh, former commander of the 203rd Mansouri Corps, was appointed as the new police chief of Jawzjan province and Maulvi Abdul Sattar Sabir, the former commander of the Jawzjan police, was appointed as the chief of staff of the 313th Central Corps.
The statement said that Maulvi Abdullah Mukhtar, former deputy minister of interior, was appointed as the governor of Khost and Maulvi Mohibullah Hamas, former deputy governor of Zabul province, was appointed as the police chief of Nangarhar province.
Mujahid said that Hafiz Sayed-ur-Rehman, the former deputy governor of Maidan Wardak province, was appointed as the deputy governor of Zabul province. Mullah Faridullah Qiyam, the former police chief of Nangarhar, was appointed as the deputy governor of Maidan Wardak province.
He announced the appointment of Maulvi Sardar Mohammad Madani, the former head of borders and tribes of Logar province, as the deputy governor of Ghazni province and said that Hafiz Abdul Rashid, the former deputy governor of Ghazni province, was appointed as the mayor of Khost province.
The changes are aimed at increasing coordination, improving administrative efficiency and strengthening government structures in provinces and ministries.
