New Delhi and Kabul agree to establish an “Afghanistan-India Joint Trade Committee” with the aim of expanding cooperation
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce says that the Deputy Minister of the Ministry and the Minister of Industry and Commerce of India met and discussed cooperation in the field of joint trade and agreed to establish an “Afghanistan-India Joint Trade Committee.”
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Energy and Water issued a press release saying that Maulvi Ahmadullah Zahid, Deputy Minister of the Ministry, met with Jitin Prasad, Minister of Industry and Commerce of India, in New Delhi.

In this meeting, the two sides discussed cooperation in the field of joint trade between Afghanistan and India and emphasized creating facilities for traders of both countries.

The two sides also agreed to establish an “Afghanistan-India Joint Trade Committee” so that this committee can hold regular meetings and discussions on trade issues.

In this meeting, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce invited India to exploit investment opportunities in Afghanistan and invest in various economic sectors.

It is worth noting that this meeting is considered the beginning of a new chapter in trade and economic cooperation between India and the Islamic Emirate.
