He emphasized that the Islamic Emirate has no desire for conflict and intends to establish friendly relations with all countries. Mottaqi had previously warned in the face of border tensions that if Pakistan does not want to make peace, it has other options.
The decision to launch this air route has been welcomed by “Vikramjit Singh Sahoni”, a member of the Indian Parliament. He called it a historic milestone in the development of trade relations in Punjab and said that Amritsar, as a strategic hub, can help promote economic ties between the two countries.
Sahuni added that these routes will facilitate the export of fresh fruits, dried fruits, handicrafts, medicines and agricultural products.
According to published reports, in a recent meeting, Afghan and Indian industry and trade officials agreed to form a joint trade committee to accelerate cooperation. It was also stated in statements that the Indian side has upgraded its mission in Kabul to the level of an embassy and has requested that visa regulations be eased.
The Times of India reported that this Amritsar-Kabul flight has received great attention and can restore Amritsar's status as a historical trade hub between India and Afghanistan.
During Muttaqi's meeting with Indian officials, India announced that it will upgrade its mission in Kabul to an embassy. This step has been interpreted as strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries.
It has also been reported that in addition to the Amritsar-Kabul route, the issue of increasing air cargo traffic between Amritsar and Kandahar has also been raised to expedite trade in larger goods.
