Iran is ready to cooperate in resolving disputes between Afghanistan and Pakistan through negotiations
In a telephone conversation between Maulvi Amir Khan Mottaqi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, and Dr. Seyed Abbas Araqchi, Foreign Minister of Iran, the two sides emphasized the resolution of regional disputes, especially the violation of Afghanistan's territorial integrity by Pakistan, through negotiations and understanding, and Iran announced its readiness to cooperate in this regard.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country announced today (Saturday, October 18) that a telephone conversation was held between Maulvi Amir Khan Mottaqi and Seyed Abbas Araqchi. In this conversation, bilateral relations and recent regional issues, especially the violation of Afghanistan's air and territorial integrity by Pakistan, were reviewed.

The Foreign Minister of the country emphasized that Afghanistan does not want war and that the Pakistani side initiated the conflict by violating the country's territorial integrity. He added that talks headed by the Minister of National Defense are underway with the Pakistani side in Doha and the Islamic Emirate is awaiting the results of these talks.

Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, while expressing his satisfaction with the start of the talks, emphasized the resolution of differences through diplomacy and announced Iran’s readiness to cooperate in this process. This position was appreciated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate and it was emphasized that the talks will continue in a practical manner.

These talks were held while Pakistani forces bombed parts of Paktika province again last night, killing and wounding a number of civilians and cricketers.
