WiFi invented by a tenth grader; Innovation from economic problems
A tenth grade student of Barlan Boys High School in the city of Sharshan district, Daikundi province succeeded in building a WiFi device.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Bamyan: Sayed Ghazanfar Kazemi, spokesman for the Daikundi governor, said in an interview with AVA that this success was part of the “Outstanding Student Creativity” competition program in the science and mathematics section among students from the nine districts of Daikundi province, organized by the Ministry of Education and the Daikundi Education Department.

He added that the device’s creator, Abdul Qayyum, son of Mohammad Hussain, was introduced as the “Science Star” of the Daikundi Education Department. The built device is capable of transferring information and files to multiple devices simultaneously.

Abdul Qayyum said that he built this device using parts from old phones and now it is performing very well. He also emphasized that despite economic problems and lack of scope for activity, if he receives financial support and is provided with opportunities, he can present more inventions in the field of technology.
